End of Year Mish Mash to Share...
My first (ever) Inchie for the Inchie Monday group I joined. The category: "Golden".
I'm having major problems leaving comments on some blogs. I've tried in both Safari and Firefox browsers but weird things happen, like the comment box disappears or the connection completely times out after I write a lengthy comment (grr!). Maybe it's my fertile imagination but these issues seem to correspond with my signing up for Google Plus---. So, my apologies if you don't hear from me---just know I've stopped in and left good thoughts on your amazing blogs about your terrific work.
I'm also having problems (can you tell???) getting my postings to space correctly. They just seem to do their own wild child thing and it's driving me to the chilled Bellini pitcher. (When we were in Italy, I ordered Bellini's ---it seemed like such a perfect Italian drink --- and the totally charming (up until that point) waiter said, "This is an old person's drink. The young Italians don't drink this." Way to score a large tip with this old lady, buddy.
Marie de Rabutin-Chantal, Marquise de Sévigné, ornament that was gifted to me this Christmas from Leah Marie, the owner of the Have A Marie Christmas Etsy store. Isn't she lovely? Here's the sweet box she came in:
Two knitting/crocheting projects I've been working on, an afghan and the start of a small person's sweater. The afghan is done in strips and is heavier than a cow!
To me this picture looks like a pinkish red but it's really a true red color in person.
Two feathers for Jude's Magic Feather Project with a small feather drawn on some tree bark. I hope these work for her.
Portion of a collage painting I finished but I don't think I showed it to you yet:
This was fabric that I painted for another project. uh-uh, didn't like the way it turned out so I cut it up and made a rose bouquet for my sewing table with stems (fabric tube I sewed then inserted wire in) so I can bend them around.
A few more roses in front of a bridge painting I'm working on sporadically...
and finally, a delicious quote from a strong woman:
“If you are not feeling well, if you have not slept, chocolate will revive you. But you have no chocolate! I think of that again and again! My dear, how will you ever manage?”
- Madame de Sévigné

What a beautiful afghan and I like how you've combined the roses and bridge painting with stitch! Happy New Year.
